Every valve we work with is characterised on a factory airflow station to meet the project’s requirement for accuracy of ± 5% of reading. The measurement of airflow (litres/second) is based on calibrated position data rather than measuring airflow directly with orifice rings, pitot tubes or vortex shedding devices.
On site commissioning is reduced for the air balancing technician due to the factory characterisation process thus avoiding the need for running fans temporarily during the final stages of construction.
Facility service teams benefit from a longer life cycle with no specified maintenance by the manufacture. Energy can be saved by controlling to lower airflows during periods of low demand for ventilation.
