Flinders University – Health Medical Research Building

Project description

The building comprises specialist and general medical research and support accommodation for the Flinders University School of Medicine and Public Health (CoMPH) and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CoNHS) and provides a new home for their respective Institutions. Accommodation reflects a state-of-the-art facility comparable with other similar facilities showcasing Flinders University as a leader in research.

To maximise future flexibility and eliminate the risk of cross-contamination between different research groups, the design has single pass air i.e.,100% of the air is exhausted, with none being recirculated.

Viscon scope

Engineer and commission laboratory airflow control system (LACS) including sustained energy savings through an Aircuity air quality management and control system, variable volume fume cupboards from Dynaflow, and laboratory general exhaust manifold served by a Strobic fan system. Integrate LACS onto campus wide supervisory building management and control system (BMCS).

Due to be commissioned in 2024.
